Little Buddy turns 17

My old neighbors daughter turned 17, I mean old as in use to be neighbor not old in age! (just in case she is reading this) anyhow, we had a great time and everyone was so jealous of my cool outfit, fashion was never my strong point just like spelling was not either. I had a great time yesterday, I had one shoot and hung out with my photographer friend Catherine Lovett and her cute little boys, then went to a 17 year old birthday party.

Coffee Table Books

Just received my coffee table book that I made for this wonderful family! I have been playing with these books for a couple years now and finally have it together. Of course I can not decide on Alexas book, but that is ok. If you are interested in doing a session to create a one of kind book call Lisa aat the studio! I cried the first time I saw one. Here are some photos of it.

Are we at the Park yet?

I photographed these three beauties two years ago and just loved them. They are the sweetest little girls you will ever meet and so much fun to photographed. There dad is serving in Iraq so I like to make a special cd for him so he can watch it while he is away. We had such a good time and I knew this was such a good shoot, I even got a hug from the oldest.

I have done a couple of families whose husbands are deployed, my brother in law will also deploy soon and it had me thinking, once a month I would like to give away a session for those who have a spouse who will deploy. We will do a family session downtown so that your soldier can have a recent photo. So if you or someone you know is interested please email me at christinehall1@mac.com

Two hours of Big Bird

Last night I had a reminder of how hard it is to have a newborn, the no sleep, the crying, ugh. Alexa it seems was still mad at me because I told her to color only on the paper and that is not what she wanted to do, she likes to work like Pollack, at least he
painted for the most part on his canvas. I think I might change her name from Bean to Stormy. Anyhow two hours of Big Bird and hours besides that of just crying she fell asleep with me, it was however it was nice to wake up next to her, she is lucky she is so cute.

Beach

Last week I photographed this cute family on the beach, the wind was crazy that day but we manged to get a few where the hair wasn't going everywhere. I look forward to seeing the beach alot more this summer with a trip to Mexico coming up.

Graduation

Yesterday I photographed a soon to be graduate of Country Day. I think it is such a great age to photograph because they will change so much over the next couple of years. It is hard to image that it has been such a long time since my parents dropped me off in Savannah to go to SCAD. I remember being delighted and frightened at what was to come, I never thought Savannah would mean so much to me, I met Scott, had Alexa all here. Time just keeps flying by but now I feel a little more delighted then frightened. Anyhow I am zoning off, I had some great light yesterday, I also photographed her cute cousin again.

Summer and Jason

Summer and Jason were married last week at a beautiful ceremony at Isle of Hope. Summer and Jason were two of the nicest people and there band from Atlanta were amazing. The band was really the best one I have seen, they were fun, took only one 15 minute break. The lead singer was so funny and you could not take your eyes off of him. Here are a few from that night

ps for all of you UGA fans uga the dog made an appearence at the rehersal dinner, personally I have to go LSU by default since my husband is from Louisiana.

Robyns Nest

It has been a really busy May, between weddings, portrait shoots, and alot of commercial work this year. I have been so happy to get to know Pam and her family. Pam owns Robyns Nest out on waters ave and has been so supportive of my photography. Her store has the cutest cloths so we did some photos of her grandchildren for her upcoming ad for skirt! Alison and Catherine are so brave to do mutiple clothing changes at 8 pm at night. The kids held up like champs, seeing all the cousins together made me wish to have my family closer, time just goes so fast.

Tybee sounds like tiebee

Went to the beach and photographed a great family on the beach. We had so much fun singing songs and jumping up and down like a bunch of crazies, I am sure we had some looks but we did not care. It is like the world melts away and it is just me and my clients bouncing around.

I thought this was great, this was the moms idea.

Whitefield Ave

Went to such a beautiful spot in Savannah yesterday, makes me drool all over myself when I see property like this. I quickly go into fantasy land thinking way way out of the box and going for really far and away dreams of having a piece of property like this. It is this huge piece of land surrounded by water with a dock, the breeze was perfect, and the kids can run around free, then I remembered I was there to photograph! Well, this family is so sweet and mama is stunning, I have met her several times and I wonder if I could ever pull myself together to have everything done (hair, makeup, dress) I usually have one but not the other. We had a great time, thanks for the wine Elizabeth!

Foxy Roxy

Roxanne and Nate were married yesterday at Wesley then had a great reception at the Westin. Roxanne was such a fun bride and up for anything, I just love that. Everyone was in such a great mood and I did not sense one bit of stress from anyone, sometimes on the wedding day it can come with some stress. They were all a riot, and Roxanne looked amazing! A special thanks to talented photographer Catherine Lovett for helping me out, I have had a chance to get to know her over the last couple of months and she is a joy to be around!

2 years 3 months 5 days

This is how long Alexa made it without a major trip to the doctor. Yesterday she was doing her usual jumping on the furniture and flew off which brought us to Dudley Stones office then to the orthopedic where this nice young pa came in and helped us. I plugged my ears because hearing her scream during xray was hard to swallow. Now she has a cast for one week (hopefully only one week) to make sure there is not a fracture. poor baby. The thing I love about Dudleys office is how nice and helpful everyone is, you feel like he is one of those doctors you here about that your mom had. He even called last night at 630 to see how things went, now that is amazing! Thanks Dudley!

Do you remember?

Do you remember when you were about nine and had a friend you were attached at the hip with? These two were so cute this weekend they did not leave each others side and we could here them giggling in the room playing silly games. What a sweet age this is, so innocent and free.
>
We have taken alot of photographs since we have been here. Heather, Stewart, and sweet Mia stayed as well and we did a couple of there family.

Start of Summer

We have come to our last day in Hilton Head and the sky could not have been cooler. SO having three photographers in a two bedroom condo there is bound to be a camera in hand. I took some inspiration from another photographer that I saw a book on in college, I like alot of his work but some is a little much for me. I just love the grays of the beach in his photos, anyhow so we took the kids down and let them run around and took some of them and there kids because believe it or not we or I dont have alot of photos of me and bean.

I love these of Julie and her daughter,Julie is one of the funniest girls I know, she kept me in stiches all weekend. Her website is JulieCollinsPhotography.com

Emmaline and her daughter,Emmaline is a limited edition photographer for the studio

3 weddings 6 kids and 6 adults

THis has been one whirlwind birthday week, today is my birthday, yippie! I had three weddings this weekend actually four but one was a small intimate one, and now I am in Hilton Head with my loves Scott and Alexa and four of my good friends and there kids having a great time. My wedding on Saturday was great, Bubba and Dawn were married and it was a beautiful wedding. Brandon Branch did an awesome job organizing the event, I also was able to work with Kristen and Ricardo who play harp and violin and are part of the Savannah Wedding Professionals with me. You can find more info about them on savannahweddingprofessionals.com Here are some fun wedding photos of the day.

First Comes Love, Then Comes Wind!

I am guessing it is ok to put these on the blog since Anne Marie will be married in two hours, I have been itching to post these, she was not scared to take her Melissa Sweet dress out and put it to the test! I love non fussy brides, but she was so elegant. It was really windy that day at the yacht club. Julie Collins, my associate photographer and great friend is documenting there special day so I will have more to share.

Apples

Ava made an appearance on the blog a couple weeks ago, we did a reshoot one week ago, she was a little shy at the first one. So this time I thought i am going to trick her, it has worked before in the past with other children, a little distraction. So I grabbed three apples from the table and we started playing. She is such a doll, and isn't her mom so pretty? I really love this family. The apples on her moms head and Ava is trying to copy her.

Family Day

Today I spent the whole day with Alexa and Scott. I have a hard time balancing, so one of my goals from my business boot camp I did in Atlanta was more family time. So today I we woke up and went to a playgroup (I never thought I would go to these) but I actually enjoy it. All the ladies are ones I have gotten to know over the last two years and it is nice being a mom and not the photographer working. Anyhow, then Scott, Alexa and myself went to the Jepson downtown and Alexa had a splended time, she liked the blocks and the drawing on the wall, and hearing her echo in the place. here are some of her from today.

Alexa did not look at the art so much, she was more interested in trying to touch it, but we took a walk down Broughton Street and she found a window full of heads with wigs on them fascinating, I guess art is the eyes of the beholder (isn't that how the saying goes?

Today was such a blast, and it makes me cherish each and every day with her. Sometmes my heart is just so swollen from what I feel for her. I read Sheye Rosemeyers blog often to see if she updates it. She lost her little girl in February and her daughter has the same little happy face Alexa gets. It shows me not only to take time out to enjoy life and how important photographs are to help you remember all the special moments that fly by. I do not know how to link this but you can copy and paste it.
