A few more spots

I have only two more openings for this Beach Special, of course you can book other sessions as well. Christmas is coming! Call us today to book your October session, they are filling up fast. Also big annoucement to come in the next couple days, I am so excited I can't stand it.

Props

I get ideas from alot of different people, I try to take them and twist them to be my style. So I think it is appropriate also to give props when they are due. I found this door from my good friend Donna Von Bruening, she has been a constant encouragement to me and is an incredible friend, business person, you name it. I love ya Donna.

One More

I loved photographing her.

Beach

Love this family

Part 2

More from Stephanie and Pauls wedding this weekend. Married at the Jepson with the wonderful Anne Bone helping with the ceremony and the reception at Garabaldis. I love doing the individual portraits of guests, it is fun to try and get reactions and interesting portraits out of complete strangers.

Stephanie + Paul

More to come, but I have to say I love photographing couples who love art. Stephanie comes from an art history background and let me be as creative as I wanted. I love that, to me these look timeless. I will post more tomorrow but have to get home.

Ok lets be real

So many blogs are so full of fluff, I sit here and hear my child not want to go to bed, I am frustrated because there is just not enough time in the day, not enough hours with Alexa or Scott.I fail at things, I succeed at other things. I get to see alot of interesting things from day to day that others do not experience. But I am also thankful, tired, excited, nervous, silly, and full of energy. I know that my friends make fun of me because I always put crazy photos up of her, but I love that about her. She has my silly sense of humor, a little crazy. I remember in like sixth grade this girl Christy Looker was her name, she use to scold me for laughing at my own jokes, and today it is what I love about Alexa. Hey, you have to be able to laugh at yourself right?

R & R

We met downtown for a fun filled family session. Dad is on r & r for two weeks and have to give mom some major praise for handling four kids while her husband is gone. I have one and get tired! Thank you again for serving our country, I can never say it enough.

St. Simons

Last but not least, could you not just eat the little one up. Love the chub.

Boys

We had so much fun at this shoot. Love the moms taste in chairs and fabric, these two were so cute and busy!

The Cloister

Photographed at the Cloister yesterday as well, so beautiful.

Sea Island

Had a great day in Sea Island, here are a few from a sweet family. I loved her bird dress.

I love this family. I connected fast when we met a couple years ago, now they are expecting another girl and I can not wait to meet her! Thank you for breakfest and the company

Five Weeks

There is not anything like this feeling right here. Amazing, precious, and one to cherish , I love this photo because it makes me remember that feeling when Alexa first came home. There is nothing in the world I would change for that feeling, not success, being 20 again, or any material things, absolutely nothing.

Sara + Jeff

Sara and Jeff had a incredible wedding at Trinity with a reception at one of my favorite places the Telfair. They were a beautiful couple and have been separated for 14 months while Jeff was chinooke pilot in Iraq. They were a perfect pair, both kind, loving, not to mention both had gorgeous blue eyes. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day.

How to torture a 16 year old

This is such a great age to photograph, I think he wasn't too sure about it at first but he came around. If you are wanting to get your Senior photograph give us a call!

Fun fun!

So much fun today with my photo shoot. We started out in the bathtub, which I wish I could put on the blog but those will have to be for the bathroom wall. They are so cute, bubbles and great fun. This age is so precious, she is four days younger then Alexa and I thought the bathtub idea was great, something that mom will always cherish. We also did these, I am not sure if mom and I had more fun or Kate.

Lisa

Lisa had another great shoot about a week ago with this sweet new baby. I love the feet.

Brooke + John

Lisa, my great associate photographer had a great wedding on Saturday. Sebrell did an incredible job on the flowers. Congrats!

Voted Savannahs Best!!

We have alot to celebrate, we were voted Best Photographer from Savannah, we have some great exciting news I can't quite tell you guys yet, and Lisa (my right hand girl is having a boy in February!)

Cute little babies I have worked with this past week.

Elizabeth + Mark

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing Elizabeth and Marks wedding. She has to be one of the easiest brides, Sebrell Smith of Sesevents.com took care of all the details and I met the couple for the first time on their big day.Elizabeth was stunning, so jealous of her little little waist and pretty skin, did I mention the woman works out, she looked incredible. They were such a nice couple and went along with all of my crazy ideas. The wedding was at Monterey Square and the reception was at the Walker Mansion, and the flowers were done by Sebrell Smith. It was a little steamy but everyone had a grand time. Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your day, I truly enjoyed it. PS, thank you to the wonderful Catherine Lovett for helping me, she is a wonderful photographer and has become a great friend.

Fun Downtown

It was a hot one yesterday, as it has been forever it seems. But I photographed one of my favorites, kids are beautiful parents are good looking, they are willing to do anything I want! (bonus) and treat me to icecream after, what else could one hot sweaty photographer ask for? Andrew Tucker is a great OB/GYN if you are shopping for one, he is nice and easy to talk to and you get to see some of my photos in his office. Thank you for all the referrals!

Changing

I have been so focused on my business for so long that it is easy to get lost of what is important and why I love to photograph families in the first place. The connection, the way each stage of your life is so much fun to document from the wedding to the babies, to the 5oth anniversary portraits. It is easy for me to get distracted and not focus on myself and family sometimes. So I have been taking Mondays off and limiting myself on weekends, (so call fast if you want a weekend) and enjoying my family. Last night it was so nice to be home with them in the backyard, Alexa (naked of course) was rolling around in the grass and would stop to look at the birds in the sky and tell me she was going to catch them. It was wonderful to slow down and enjoy her and her beautiful simple way of looking at things. I love how free she is, her ballet jumps she does, her running around naked and telling me to wait and stay with her when she falls asleep. I know these moments will pass so fast, so I am going to enjoy them, and I look forward to photographing your families special moments like these. Oh , and hopefully Alexa will grow out of the naked stage!)

Denver

I am in Denver for about three days to shoot a wedding with my friend Bart and was so excited to meet Alisas baby. I haven't been to Denver since last year, it funny all that can happen in a year. The weather is beautiful here and I wish I could bottle it up and take it back with me. I have been able to go all day without sweating, forget what that is like. It is always bittersweet to go away for a couple days, all my travels have been this month and I am ready to see my sweeties. I am lucky to have a hubby that is so super supportive and keeps the fort down. thanks baby!

Sweet little baby gave me a workout.

Fourth time is a charm

I think this family gets the award of the most times we had to reschedule. It rained three times before we could finally get their youngest 15 month old portraits. It was well worth the wait, the sky was beautiful, the temperature was nice.
