I think it is a good sign that I have been photographing so much I have a blister on my finger where my camera hits, ouch , you really do not realize how much that spot touches things until it hurts. I am doing a smaller version of The big coffee table book, the size is 6 x 6, I think it will be perfect for the grandparents for Christmas. HEre are a few pages.
Yet another bride and groom of mine have the cutest little girl I photographed last night. Dad runs a great restaurant on Tybee called StingRays with his father, so if you are out there stop by. How could I choose between these? She was a riot, and had us sweating and running with cookie monster eating my head, hey, whatever it takes.
Cousins are so great to have. Here is a group I did the other night at the beach
Angie and JD were one of my favorite bride and grooms. They now have two little ones and little Jamison sure gave Angie a hard time during pregnancy. On bedrest for a good while and contracting about the whole time she had one of the longest prenancies ever, but worth the wait. Look how cute she is and perfect.
I owe about half my business to this family. I met the dad on the golf course when I was taking photos of another family and we happened to be at the same hole. Well Jack was five months at the time and now he is eight! and they have twins who are six. It is so special to me to have seen there family grow and feel like part of there family. Thank you Peter and Jane for the constant support, encouragement, and helping my business grow.
I have been back and forth to the beach almost everynight, I love the drive back when the sun starts to set with the green marsh. I had not seen this faimly in about a year and a half and there two have grown! I could not get over that hair on the there cute little girl. THey were both so pleasent and we had so much fun even though some clouds rolled in and it was quite sticky.
Emmaline (one of CHP's Photographers) and Heather hosted a baby shower for a great photographer friend of mine Tobia. I always come away feeling great when I see this group of girls. THe food was so pretty, and it was held at Lori Judges awesome downtown house. Thanks girls for the great meal and company!
With temperatures hitting 115 Alexa, Scott and I retreated to the pool today. I hope these hot ones go quick else I think we need to go back to Denver. Here are a couple from some shoots I did this week,I have fallen a little behind, so many shoots to blog I get a little mixed up what I have posted and what I haven't. I photographed these four boys at my good clients beach house. I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself with such older boys, tickling might seem a little inappropriate, smelling my shoe they might think I am a little wierd, so I just decided to talk to them. They were super nice and the oldest is going to WestPoint and the three youngest are still in school. Mom was so nice and these are going to her husband who is serving our country in Iraq. It moves me everytime the sacrifice the solders are making. I have to say I sometimes take it for granted and then I see these families (including my own brother in law ) not being able to see there loved one for so long I just want to hug them and thank them. alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5096817941664192754" />
This couple were so awesome, not only was she beautiful she let me do what ever I wanted. We started off early and I liked her the moment I met her. Joe was great as well and was 6'7, I felt so small and delicate at this wedding everyone I think was 6'3 and taller. Usually I feel pretty tall. Anyhow her dad was a photographer so I was a little nervous but it was all for nothing, he really was so easy going and very interesting to talk to. I photographed this wedding for my good friend Bart Young http://btyphoto.com since he did one for me in April. We went all over downtown and it was great to photograph somewhere different. Here are a few.
I have been in Denver this weekend for a much needed relief from the heat. Had a great wedding I did for my friend Bart Young (Btyphoto.com) and decided to take some time and see some friends and family. I ate at this great Mexican restaurant called Blue Bonnet with my cousins. I have had a somewhat bad luck streak this weekend that I am thinking I should just lock myself up somewhere so nothing else happens. Here is what happened and you can tell me. 1. I ran over a blown out tire in my friend Alisas car that she so graciously lent me and it ripped the bottom plastic protective piece under her car, can't wait for that bill. 2. Her dogs in return ate some papers in my bag and my flipflops so now I am hobbling around in my high heal sandels that are blistered from my twelve hour wedding, 3. lost my phone at the wedding last night, ( I was a little over stimulated from excitement of making great images all day) But my luck is looking up, found my phone, Alisa wasn't too upset, and my wedding went great. I need to photograph my family more, these are my cousins. What is up with this house? What happens when it rains?
I have had such a good time photographing all of my great clients families. Everyone is different but it all comes back to love of there family. The special thing about my job (although there are many) is that I get to create memories that they will cherish forever, maybe the great great grandchild will hang them on the wall 100 years from now. Here are a few picks, I have some more I will be showing later today.
