Jack turns one!

Isn't he the cutest thing! He turned one last month,I am a little behind on my blogging. I was at there wedding, then at his birth, now when he is one! He is one lucky boy, he will never go hungry since his granny is a pretty well known cook! You might recognize it by her saying, "Best Dishes Y'all"

Happy Anniversary!

Lyndsay and Joe were married one year ago today and wanted to get a couple more photos that they did not get on there wedding day. I was booked the day of there wedding and I am flattered that she hired me to do some of them one year later! You could tell how much in love these two were and it was beautiful to watch. Joe is a associate pastor over at Wesley and I have worked with him a couple times at weddings, he is a real joy to be around. Thank you guys!

12 years later

I waited tables with Leah about twelve years ago at Snappers (now Uncle Bubbas). We had so much fun there, volleyball at night after work, beach during the day, no worries about bills, taxes etc. Jack Leigh (photographer) used to tell me that things always came in full circles, he would say this over and over about things and people in his life. Leah is part of that circle for me, I would have never thought twelve years later I would be photograhing her beautiful little girl and her amazing pregnant belly. It has been nice getting to know her all over again and remembering simple carefree days.

For Leigh! I thought I would give you a sneak peek, what a sweet baby, big smiles. Little Stella was in Alexas class year and had me work yesterday like Alexa does, but it was well worth it!

Sorry I forgot my camera

They say you want to make a good first impression, well I met this family when the oldest was five days old. It was May and I had been running around as usual and went out to the Landings, dad works downtown so it is quite a drive back home . I realized though when I was at the door at my new clients house that I had forgotten my camera, how was I going to knock on there door and tell them. I was so embarrassed and thought about just going home but I knew I had to knock on there door, I think not showing up would be worse. At least I did drive out there right? So I knocked and Amy was so excited and dad had just drove up and I had to look at her and say, Hi nice to meet you but I do not have my camera. I think she thought I was kidding. Well I think they were ok because now there little girl is four, I had a good excuse though, it was my first experience with pregnant brain, I was pregnant and did not know it yet. They have such a beautiful family of four!

Easy Rider

I know she has no shirt on again, it has been brought to my attention by two of my friends that Alexa never has a shirt on, what can I say it has been a hot summer! (oh and mamas cheap when it comes to air conditioning the house.) How cute is she though

Tybee

I just love love love these kids. Grace is such a neat crazy child, she really has the cutest little personality. I love her little spark, you can not help but smile when you see her. Her older sister and brother giggle as well at her, and are both just as sweet. This is the sixth year i have photographed them, and each year we have so much fun. We found grasshoppers, (I can not believe I held one) we smelled my shoe, all the usual, all in a days work. Who else can do that at work?

Palmetto Bluff

Yesterday I had a great wedding with Crystal and Rick at Palmetto Bluff. It was a perfect day for a wedding and Sebrell Smith of sesevents.com did a beautiful job on the flowers, Minet Rushing of course did the cake, (savannahcustomcakes.com) and Palmetto Bluff was a perfect location. It is so nice to work with vendors you know will do a great job and that are part of Savannah Wedding Professionals (savannahweddingprofessionals.com) Here are a few from there day.

One thing I love about Savannah

One of the many things I love about Savannah is that it feels like home. I grew up near Tampa and I feel like I am from Savannah. It is really amazing how everyone is connected here and how you really make longtime clients and friends. Tori and Ryan were a bride and groom of mine five years ago, now they have two sweet boys and the oldest is Alexas age and is in her playgroup, and now I am photographing there growing family. I feel like I have always known some of my clients, they are more then just my clients they are my friends who I get to experience a very personal part of there life. Thank you Tori and Ryan, I had a great time chasing your boys!

Happy Birthday Albert!

The Birthday Boy! I can't believe Albert is two! Lori Judge sold us our first house and was pregnant with him at the time. He loves trains so it was over at the RoundHouse, a old train station with a bunch of old trains.

I went and visited my friend Mark Starnes while I was in Atlanta. He was in my first photo class at SCAD and he claims I was kicking the back of his chair asking him what his name was. He is an incredible photographer from this small town in South Carolina, his photographs have a timeless quality about them with a little sense of humor. He gave me a couple negatives to print and I will put some up here so you can see what I mean. You almost can not believe the places he photographs are still here. Busy Bee

Back from my travels and photographed three families in Atlanta. Had a great time in Atlanta and of course had to go shopping! Just to let everyone know that Christmas season is fast approaching, and I am getting pretty full, so if you would like to get a session for Christmas call right away!

Denver

Saturday I photographed for my good friend Bart Young in Denver (btyphoto.com) it is always alot of fun doing a wedding out of town and Amanda and Eric were great fun, it was a beautiful day and I just love the color of the leaves changing.
