I laughed so hard I cried

This little girl was so funny, she had me in tears. She was so cute when she walked up in her slip that i could not resist some photos of her before we put her dress on. She could not keep a straight face, and told me she was going to be a princess when she grew up, and made up stories about a kitten she had. Her mom thought she would be "one tough cookie" but I found her soft and delightful.

It is raining cousins

I have photographed quite a few groups of cousins lately, the mom of three of the children already prewarned me that they were all basicly under the age of seven, most of them under five and we would be hitting there bath and crazy hour when we were to photograph. Now I did not understand this BA (before Alexa) I would always think in my head when moms said this, just put them down for a nap later, what is the problem. Well five o clock hits at my house and she goes from sweet little Alexa to crazy throwing herself on the floor Alexa. I have much more compassion now! Well, it went great and I smelled my shoe for them, put it on my head, put shoes on Aunts head, it went over great. Sometimes when I am pulling my bag of tricks out I feel like I am a stand up comic, sometimes I crash, and sometimes it is a hit. In this case a stinky shoe is all we needed.

Anna Grace

Anna Grace has been featured a couple times on my blog, first at 20 minutes old, then at six months. Boy has she grown and is such a beautiful baby. It is amazing if you met the parents you can see them both in her, she is a perfect mix of her dads hairdo and her moms pretty face. Lisa (assistant extrodinare) went with me, and got great smiles from her.

We played,got naked in the backyard, ( well she did!), peed on the floor, (trying to potty train), went to a friends house, I felt human today! Tried not to work or even think about it and enjoy my baby! oh i need more days like this

Spring Cleaning

I have been going through some old files, and have been letting personal photos be put on hard drives collecting dust (well kinda of) I can't bare to part with any of Alexa of course, where I can edit others with the best of them. Here are a few I found that were taken almost two summers ago. I really like them, it just looks like summer to me. We go over and bug our old neighbor and the other neighbors (featured) also go and bug them too. We call it the 53rd street possey only we had to leave 53rd street, , there are always dreams of moving back, but we are in close walking distance.

Happy St. Patty's Day

St. Pattys day in Savannah is crazy, they take it very seriously so since it was on a Saturday it was nice because it gives you the whole weekend to celebrate. It does close business if it happens to fall during the week, schools close, etc, you get the picture. Well today was great my friend Emmaline had some people over, lucky for us she lives right on the parade route with a beautiful courtyard and a clean bathroom. The parade was fun, the weather was perfect, we have a little tradition afterwards and go over to our old neighbors house and have what is like a Thanksgiving dinner, this was after of course a nap, Alexa was a little tired from our first party!

Beautiful Days

Warm days are coming! First day I was able to put Bean in the backyard and spray her with the hose, she loved it.
All that you have to do to make her happy is get her naked and around water, oh to be young.

Makes my day go from cloudy to sunny

Chreysler

Chreysler, or at least that is what his Grandfathers calls him, his name is actually Dodge, and boy is he cute. I feel quite honored to photograph this family since his father has many photographers at a snap being the editor of the great South magazine, if you haven't seen the photography in this magazine you should it is awesome. We had fun at the fort, it is so much fun to work with creative people, I laid them all on there back on the grass and stood right over them and not even a slight strange glance or comment you want me to do what? Anyhow, here are a few from the shoot, I find new places everytime I go there.

Oh Boy!

The studio had there first mini sessions. The response was great and Lisa did awesome. Lisas first clients were great clients of mine and it was so much fun, the second set were all boys, six of them! Lisa did two separate minis and did a group one of all of the cousins together, yes there were three on each side. It was a beautiful day yesturday but the knats decided to make an appearance as the day went on. Here are a few from her sessions. Thank you for such a great response. What is so neat about photography is that it helps you remember, I had cousins all about my age that I grew up around, I wish we would have had a photograph like this. Is everyone smiling, no , but it isn't about that, it is about the moment, this is what they were like then and years from now they will look back at this photo and smile.

I almost was ran over

I photographed this wedding a couple of months ago and I was about to cross the street when I saw this beautiful woman with this great hat. I raced across the street to meet her, she was from Charleston, isn't she great? She just makes my imagination go wild when I think of her in Charleston at some high class lunchon on the water after church or something, I know those who don't know me might think I am missing a couple screws but man sometimes you just see someone and it becomes this quest to get a photograph of them.
