Back to the Beach

I had such a busy day yesterday running all around town and then headed to the beach for one final shoot. I was kind of tired and dragging on my way but I knew it would be fun since I was meeting one of my favorites client, Lilla. I have been photographing her beautiful kids since they were three months and three or four. now six and eleven. Her kids are so sweet and we finally had her husband for a little while, he has been deployed alot and I finally got them in a family shot. My heart really goes out to all the woman who have there husbands deployed. I think I have three families this week who are either deployed or are going. I just would have a really hard time, as I am sure they do as well. Lillas friend and her kids joined in on the fun and had the sweetest two year old and five month old. By the end of the shoot I hit my second wind, I am so happy I get to do what I love and work actually revives me and gives me such a happy rush.

The glass is half full

Wow, I have been so busy with shoots this week I am a little behind on posting. I did however take some time when my parents were in town and drink some wine in the backyard.

2 +1 = 3

I was able to meet Ashley and Drews new little addition. She is such a doll, and Ashley is a very busy woman these days with a two year old and 4 year old. Don't you just love her hair?

I am seeing double

These two were so cute, I am not sure if I have one of both of them by themselves or not. They had really different personalities but looked exactly alike, I guess that is why they are twins. I have twin cousins and could not tell them apart until they were in there twenties, (one had put on some beer pounds) so I could tell them apart. The beach that night was the best night we have had in awhile, cool and no bugs.

Winslett and Justin were one of my first weddings I ever shot. Now, five or six years later, I am photographing there cute little boys. WE had such a nice time despite the heat, the bugs held off and the boys were so sweet.

3am

I am a little blurry eyed this afternoon since my sweet little daughter kept us up all night, ugh. I really do not function on little sleep, you somehow forget how hard it is to have a child waking you up in the middle of the night. Anyhow, I have had some great photo shoots lately and a great beach house I photographed at. I always love the thought of all the cousins getting together and playing. I wish my husbands siblings and my brother lived closer so we could see everyone more often. Here are some from South Beach (Tybee not Miami)

Bean July

Summer + Attitude + Water + Happy + Lollipops = Alexa

Alexas vocabulary has grown so much in the last couple weeks. She also has a hatred lately for shirts and shorts and a love for having tea parties and saying cheers.

Due in 8 days

Matt and Victoria are expecting a baby girl in eight days. She had such a pretty belly and just had that beautiful skin you get when you are pregnant, oh and the house we borrowed to take the photos, breath taking. It was on Isle of Hope with a view of the boats on the bluff and overhanging trees, I wondered when I drove up how many photos would I have to take to be able to sit and watch the sailboats go by and have all my shoots at my house on my grounds so I would never have to leave. Ok, slap me, I am awake now. Can't wait to meet your baby!

All Smiles

This little cutie was another baby from one of my brides. We decided to brave the hot summer, it was well worth it, we had some great smiles.

Maddie turns one!

I have a problem, I just adore my clients. This was the last shoot of Maddies year photos, I can't help but become attached and feel like part of there family after seeing them through the first year of there childs life. What a joy this family is, really the nicest people you will ever meet. In fact Maddie is giving my associate photographer Lisa the baby fever.
My light was so good that day.

The Cloister

Drove to Sea Island with my great friend and associate photographer Emmaline Routon. We went through a horrible storm and did not think we would make it. I have never been to thecloister it was beautiful. I was able to make it and meet some of my clients that were staying from Shreveport. What a nice family and they were so excited to tell me all of the fun things they had done this week. Here are a few.

Cutie Patoties (spelling?)

I have had some awesome fun sessions. I am posting a couple sneak peeks at the last couple days. Things are really picking up and summer sessions are in full swing. Tonight I get to go to this great little beach house I just adore, bright doors, old doors, nice front porch, love it.

Portrait

I photographed the sweetest little boy last week. He was nothing but smiles and cuddles.

Natalie and Todd

Natalie and Todd were married on the most popular day ever to get married (7 . 7. 07) IT was a nice muggy day with some rain in between to help me panic a little! But it was followed by beautiful weather and cooled it off some. The grooms brother gave one of the best most moving toasts I have heard. The reception was held at the beautiful http://www.telfair.org with a cake from Minet Rushing from http://savannahcustomcakes.com.
We had such a great time going around Savannah taking photographs, they were such a fun nice couple.
